Watermarking your photographs in Photoshop

Friday Oct 17,2008

Earlier I never used to watermark my photos. Then the other day I saw my photograph (Taken with a Mobile Phone) in The Tribune

Source : http://flickr.com/photos/himachal/281508604/

Then I started watermarking my photographs with a view that no one would use them without my permission. Then Himachal Tourism proved me wrong when they went a step ahead and cropped two of my photographs from flickr leaving the watermark and published them on their advertisements.

So in this tutorial I will teach you the way to make your photograph safe from online thieves. The idea is borrowed from Mr. Ankush Maria who takes care that no one steals his photographs.

1. Type in your Name with a clean and readable font.

My New Macbook

Sunday Sep 14,2008

Macbook

So after waiting for about a week I got this new Apple MacBook. Yes, a non windows bases notebook. Dell and HP were also on my list but as I work mostly on Adobe Creative Suite, I choose Apple. The amazing white design and its compact size ( 13.3 inches ) made me fall in love with this thing. I have newer used a mac before, but then also I am not facing any problems in using it. Apple have done a good job here. I’ll work on it and will tell you my experiences soon.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Review

Saturday Aug 30,2008

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, The most popular lens among canon DSLR users. I bought it last week and now I don’t wanna take it off my camera. The image quality is amazing and so is the depth of field. The only think I hate of this lens is its poor built quality. The plastic used in the focusing ring is ugly and also the overall design is also bad. Yet it’s a best buy. The price is also very resonable.

I’ll be sharing few photographs taken with this lens very soon.

Apple iPhone launched in India

Apple iphone 3G launched in India

iPhone was at last launched last midnight at Gurgaon (Airtel) and at Connaught place in Delhi (Vodafone). Many were disappointed to see the price tag (they simply converted $199 to INR and were more than happy that it’ll be of Rs 8,000 in India).

The launch of Nokia N96 at the right time will attract many buyers towards it but nothing can match the sexy looks of the iPhone. Thought it’s just a status symbol with less features but still , it’s different.
